If something is not working, the answer is probably one of these. If it is not, the contact form goes to a person.
Uploading files
Nothing is uploaded, the file is read by the page itself. If it is being rejected, it is one of three things: the file is larger than the stated limit, the extension and content do not match (a .pdf that is really a .docx, for example), or the file is zero bytes because a download did not finish. The message on screen will say which.
Processing
In your browser, on your device. There is no upload step and no processing server for any tool that is switched on. Each tool page shows a badge stating its processing mode, and the security page explains the model in full.
Downloads
Browsers block pages that trigger many downloads in quick succession, so anything producing more than one output file is bundled. Individual files are also listed and can be downloaded one at a time.
Privacy
No. There is no storage bucket, no database and no server-side processing in this build, so there is nothing holding a copy of your document. Closing the tab discards everything.
File compatibility
PDF stores where things are drawn, not what they mean. A heading is not marked as a heading; it is text at a position in a larger font. Any conversion to an editable format has to guess at structure from layout, and that guess is often wrong on tables and multi-column pages. It is also why those conversions are not offered here rather than offered badly.
Password-protected PDFs
Most tools cannot read an encrypted document directly, so the file is detected and flagged rather than processed into something broken. Run it through Unlock PDF first, supplying the password, and the result will work everywhere else.
Billing and accounts
No. Every tool that works today is free and needs no account. The pricing page describes a plan structure that is not connected to payment processing in this build.
Troubleshooting
Possibly, but check the simple causes first: an interrupted download leaves a file that is the right size but incomplete, and some systems rename files without converting them. Opening the file in a normal PDF viewer will confirm quickly. If it opens there but not here, that is worth reporting.
Still stuck?
Tell us the tool, the browser and what happened. If a specific file fails, describe it, please do not send it, since we would rather not receive your documents.
