How this tool works
- 1Each file is read into memory in your browser and parsed with pdf-lib.
- 2Pages are copied one document at a time into a new empty PDF.
- 3The result is handed straight to your downloads folder as a blob.
What it will not do
- Bookmarks, form fields and annotations from the source files are not carried across.
- Encrypted files must be unlocked before they can be merged.
- Very large documents are limited by how much memory your browser tab can hold.
Common uses
- Turning a scanned contract and its signed annex into one file.
- Bundling receipts for an expense claim.
- Combining chapters drafted separately into a single manuscript.
Where this runs
Merge PDF runs entirely inside this page. Your file is read by the browser, processed in memory and handed back to your downloads folder. It is never sent to a server, because there is no server involved in this tool.

No. Pages are copied as-is, so text stays text and images keep their original resolution. The file size of the result is roughly the sum of its inputs.
